A famous Hungarian desert, Esterházy Torta consists of layers of vanilla and rum-flavored buttercream sandwiched between thin rounds of almond meringue. This rich and luxurious sweet dish was named after the 19th-century Hungarian diplomat, Prince Paul III Anton Esterházy, and is most recognisable for its characteristic patterned top glaze made from melted and feathered white and dark chocolate.
